Creative Catalyzers was a cultural leadership group organized in 2020-2021 serving Boulder County. They consisted of a group of leaders from four main sectors of society: the tech industry, the arts, sustainable businesses, and human service organizations. They chose these four sectors of the community because of their dedication to increasing innovation, creativity, sustainable practices and inclusivity. Their goal was to instill the value that art is a necessary catalyst for a united and prosperous community.
The volunteer leaders collaborated on implementation of cultural community art projects that combined resources to foster creativity, innovation, empowerment and sustainability. In just one year the 2021 projects included, Avant Gardens an ecological project, Dare to Care a food drive, Earthwear a community arts program with youth and women in shelters to make upcycled public art, The Boulder bunny rabbit challenge a participatory public art project during COVID lockdown, and the Sustainable Summer DAZE festival.
