Eye2Eye

From 2004-2007 Eng developed a youth media arts program under FEGS at alternative High Schools in New York City and the South Bronx. To encourage self-esteem, socialization, community activism, and pride, she taught video-making to teens and young adults who chose to make Public Service Announcements on parental involvement, equity, drug prevention, drop-out prevention, literacy, environmental sustainability, civil rights, gay marriage, and current political events.

This project was part of the FEGS youth program was geared toward adolescents ‘at risk’ that included those afflicted by poverty, drug addiction, former and current gang members, orphans, mental illness, victims of child abuse, learning difficulties, and drug-addicted parents. Eng developed this program at Edward Reynolds High School, Washington Irving High School, and FEGS centers in the South Bronx.
