Lifesigns AIDS awareness for the Arts, Ethiopia 2001-2003
In 2001-2003 Angie established and directed an AIDS awareness program in Northern Ethiopia. With the support of VisualAIDS in New York City and private donations, she organized youth groups in semi-rural areas to design and paint public murals. During the 2 years, they painted 6 murals, produced an AIDS awareness play, and participated in World AIDS Day 2002 with a caravan of camels with spraypainted AIDS ribbons.
